ASD-Accept organizes a calendar of impactful events designed to celebrate, advocate, and create visibility for the autism community in Africa. These events bring together families, health professionals, educators, policymakers, and supporters from all walks of life.

🧩 Autism Awareness Month (April)
Our flagship annual celebration! Throughout April, we run a continent-wide series of events including:
- "Light It Up Blue Africa" Campaign - Landmarks, schools, and homes are lit in blue to show solidarity with autistic individuals.
- Awareness Walks & Autism Parades - Organized in major cities to raise visibility and educate the public.
- Public Seminars & Town Hall Dialogues - Featuring experts, caregivers, and advocates discussing real-world autism challenges and solutions.
- Blue T-shirt Day & School Competitions - Children participate in art, poetry, and essay contests on autism themes.
🎤 Annual ASD Africa Conference
A professional and academic forum bringing together autism researchers, therapists, parents, and policymakers to exchange knowledge and inspire collaboration across African borders.


🏥 Mobile Diagnostic & Screening Days
Held quarterly in underserved communities, these events provide free autism screening and referral services to families, with the goal of reducing diagnosis delays.
👩🏾🏫 Parent Empowerment Forums
Bi-annual gatherings where caregivers attend interactive sessions on behavior management, therapy options, and rights advocacy.


🎨 ASD-Accept Talent Showcase
An annual arts and talent festival where children and young adults with ASD showcase their skills in music, drama, painting, and dance in a warm, accepting environment.
💻 Virtual Webinar Series
Held monthly, these sessions feature African and global experts in autism intervention, education, research, and family support.
